14 Smart Parts Progressive Barrel
Smart Parts'' first barrel had progressive porting and they have never looked back. It allows extra air to exit the barrel resulting in a more accurate shot not to mention a much quieter one. In addition to this famous porting the barrel also has a micro honed bore for maximum distance.
A-5 Collapsible Stock

If you are looking to get an A5 and you want to switch between woodsball and speedball it does good. Its better if you play in the back with it in speedball, and not in tournaments like speedball tournaments. Do NOT get the flatline barrel with this gun it chops balls like crazy and is inaccurate. Yes it shoots a good distance but whats the point if you cant get a good shot on the person? Just stick with the barrel that comes with it is what i would recommend. I have had this gun for 4 years with the same package. If you get this gun get the Response Trigger with it not the E-Grip. Much better and you dont have to worry about the battery dieing in the middle of a game.

I am a young aspiring woodsballer who was looking for the perfect gun for not too much money. The A-5 is that marker. This is my first marker and I have to say that it is the perfect companion to have out in the woods. It is fast, lightweight, agile and the entire body is made of Magnesium which is a 2.5 on the mineral hardness scale. You can drop it (not recommended on purpose) and it will be fine. It has many upgrades which I recommend getting if you have the funds. Depending on what is more important Looks or Combat Effectiveness. There are some upgrades that are paramount. The 1st upgrade you should decide on is the type of A-5 you want:
~Standard: Semi-Automatic(One shot/per trigger pull)
~Response Trigger:Semi-Automatiic->Automatic(Uses simple piston to allow for a "Manual Response" feel to the trigger i.e Push trigger once- One shot. Hold trigger Down- Releases a burst or barrage of paintballs from 3 to 8/sec) Adjustable rate of fire.
~E-Trigger(Electric or Energy Trigger):
Semi-Automatic, Burst, or Automatic Fire. Custom rate of Fire. (Uses a Selector Switch on the Grip, and a 9-volt Battery and a motherboard in the grip to allow you to Choose what type of fire best suits the moment. Also allows you to customize how many balls/sec you wish to release. Best Upgrade but is pricier and The catch is it uses a battery.
Both Upgrades are great and recommended but not absolutely necessary. The standard A-5 will still be able to shoot as fast as your finger can pull the trigger. I personally went with the Response Trigger to save money and to not have to worry about the battery dieing mid-combat on the E-trigger. Either way, both ~SS~ approved worthwhile investments.
The next most mentionable upgrade would be the Flatline barrel. It's a barrel that Puts backspin on the ball when you fire it. This not only increases the range by 50%, but the accuracy as well. The A-5 has a good distance and accuracy without it but is merely increased by this barrel. Another ~SS~ Approved investment.
All in all the Assault Model on the A-5 with a response trigger and Flatline Is my favorite version of the gun. If you cant get it all at once Get the one of the trigger upgrades 1st. To sum it up it is the Best gun for woodsball, whether you are a Beginner or Seasoned Merc. and is ~SS~ Approved my me.

This is the best paintball gun mi have....and trust me i got alot of good guns. This is the perfect gun for any type of player, This is accurate, very fast rae of fire, and alot lighter then you think it is. It even comes with the origanal barrel for us indor and tornament players.

i told my dad that i wanted a tippman a-5, for my thirteenth birthday. so i went online looked around, found this and boom! got it. :) my dad said it was at a great price, and he said okay. all together, my best present yet.
