    Cons:
    Heavy
    Best Uses:
    Outdoor, Senarios, Woodsball

    Recreational Player
    Bottom Line:

When you hit the gun against something you don't even have to worry about it, I have drop it, and smashed against trees it never is damaged and will still keep fighting. The 11" barrel allows one to hit another at about 80 feet. It is great for rather close-quarter, I don't mean a room by room but if you are storming a out "castle" it does an excellent job. I have fired more than 5,000 rounds out of this gun it hasn't jammed once, and I can only recall chopping 2 paintballs. I am going to say this gun is well built it gets the job done and I would greatly recommend it to any beginning owners.

    Awsome, but...

(I know its long... I'm very thorough)Tippmann did another good job but there is room for improvement. First, as a fact, it's basically a supped up 98 custom. You can tell by the fact that all its upgrades come from the 98. Yah it's not "heavy" but when some of us are done trying to show off, compared to most paintball markers, it's an oversized lead weight. When you get down to it, that can hamper agility and aim. The e-grip would be better if it had true full-auto and the 3 round burst just wastes ammo. Last, very disappointing that the handle isn't removable without permanent methods and compared to other scenario markers, not too many upgrades for the marker. Aside from the cons, it's a good value for the price and gold for beginners. Pretty accurate and very powerful (I got complaints), it's a show off made for scenario play and if you treat it right, it will not disappoint you.

    Best

    Pros:
Accurate, Can scare kids, Good Value, Looks amazing, No chopping, Powerful
    Cons:
    Can get heavy
    Best Uses:
Attack and defend, Capture The Flag, Elimination, One flag, Outdoor, Tournaments, Woodsball
    Describe Yourself:
    Recreational Player
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

If you are buying your first marker and want the durability of a M98, an awesome look, and great value buy this gun. I have used it in several games and found myself playing better because the gun felt good. It also can scares little kids lol. If the gun shoots itself replace the battery immediatly. The only con is unless your a marine holding the gun vertically is a problem. I recommend a sling doesnt have to be fancy. And cyclone feed and HPA isnt bad either.

first i have to say that this is one if not the only marker out there that comes close to the real thing...im in the army my self i get to train in simulations and at times we train with markers but none like this one. As far as the weapon being heavy im sort of used to heavy weapons but for those who are not u might get tired of holding it at shoulder lengh but after a while of pure adrenaline pumpin u wont even notice it. I just got a regular hopper and tippmann paintballs and did not even chop one, its a little bit expensive but like i said if u want a close feel to having the real thing this is it and if ur looking to mod it up like i will be prepared to spend around 500 or more...lol. trust me u wont regret buying a acurate weapon like the alpha black...

    Pretty good
By Jolly green giant from Burke, Virginia on 12/14/2008
    Pros:
    Durable, Good Value, looks cool
    Cons:
    Heavy, Magazine clip
    Best Uses:
    Attack and defend, Outdoors
    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It's pretty heavy but you don't really need the stock or the shroud. they seem to get in the way. with a better barrel, compressed air, and cyclone feed this would be a great gun for scenarios. The problem is after you get all the upgrades it cost more then the gun. I just got mine and i'm planning to get compressed air and a freak barrel or dye ultralite barrel. I got the cyclone feed and i would only suggest that if you got the e-grip. Remember to use good paintballs i used sucky ones and my gun was shooting paint out of it like it was a shotgun.
